Gunmen attack UAE’s armored vehicle in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 3 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Monday attacked an armored vehicle belonging to the so-called “security belt forces” backed by the UAE in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

“Gunmen believed to belong to al-Qaeda organization blew up the armored vehicle while passing through the road between al-Mahfad district and Abyan city by an improvised explosive device,” sources in the province said without mentioning any casualties.

“This armored vehicle is the only one owned by the UAE-backed militia in al-Mahfad,” they added.
