Planning Minister, UNDP discuss cooperation issues
SANAA, Dec. 2 (YPA) – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Abdulaziz al-Kumim, on Sunday discussed in Sanaa with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) country director for Yemen, Auke Lootsma, the cooperation issues between Yemen and the program.
In the meeting, al-Kumim confirmed the national salvation government’s keenness to provide all possible facilitates for the implementation of the UNDP-funded projects in the country.
Lootsma referred that the UNDP has independently inaugurated its activities in Yemen since the beginning of 2018 focusing on institutional building programs and a part of the early recovery program.
He said that the country programs for the sustainable development goals would be prepared in cooperation with Yemen to be fully completed before the end of the first quarter of 2019.
