IED blast kills 5 students in Iraq

SANAA, Nov. 22 (YPA) – At least five students were killed on Thursday when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in a car carrying school students in al-Shawrah district in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, Iraqi security sources said.

According to the Iraqi security sources, a group of students on a “pick up” car while they were on their way to school were killed by an improvised explosive device blast.

“The death toll rises to five so far, and it is unclear if there are more casualties,” the sources added.

In recent days, the city of Mosul has been witnessing security chaos and terrorist bombings since its liberation two years ago.
