SANAA, Nov.21 (YPA) – The International Police Organization (Interpol) has elected a new president to replace outgoing Chinese Meng Hongwei.
The Interpol announced on Wednesday that Kim Jong-yang of South Korea had been elected as its new president.
The US-backed Kim, Interpol’s acting president, was picked at a meeting of delegates from Interpol member nations in Dubai to replace Meng Hongwei.
It is worthy to say that Meng Hongwei went missing in his native China in September.
