TAIZ, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Hawban area of Taiz province, southwest Yemen, on Tuesday witnessed a mass celebration on the occasion of the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s birth.
In the celebration, the participants raised banners that express the greatness of the occasion and the Yemeni people’s love for the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
Member of the Shura Council, Yahya al-Junaid, delivered a speech, in which he said that the celebration of this occasion is “a renewal of loyalty to the prophet and to his message that brought the nation out of darkness into light.”
Al-Junaid pointed out that the nation suffers at the present as a result of its distance from the prophet’s teachings.
He said that Yemenis were among the first people who supported the Prophet and Islamic religion.
