Mohammed al-Houthis: Marking the Holy Prophet’s Birthday as an official holiday in the Saudi kingdom is a positive step

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – Chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, commented on the announcement of  Saudi Arabia marking the Holy Prophet’s Birthday (peace and blessings be upon him) as an official holiday.

“Celebrating  the Holy Prophet’s Birthday in the  Saudi kingdom is a positive and important step,” al-Houthi said on his Twitter account on Saturday, adding that “the prophet does not need us, but we need to deepen his love in our hearts to bear his morals and ethics in dealing, tolerance and spreading the spirit of brotherhood and peace.

He noted that commemorating the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Birthday to remain alive in the hearts and a great beacon of pride to the people.

The Ministry of Civil service in the Kingdom announced the 12th of Rabi’ al-awwal as an official holiday on the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s Birthday (peace and blessings be upon him).
