Update 2: Death toll from coalition airstrikes on Hodeidah’s passengers rises to 9

HODEIDAH, Nov. 13 (YPA) -The death toll from a US-backed Saudi-led coalition airstrike on passengers escaping battles in Hodeidah port city on Tuesday increased to nine, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

The air attack, which targeted the passengers’ bus on the highway near al-Jarrahi district, also wounded two others.

An ambulance rushed to the scene to rescue possible survivors was hit by another airstrike few meters before it reached the targeted passengers, the statement read, but did not say if medics on the ambulance were killed or wounded.

The attack took place in the afternoon.
