SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Information Fahmi al-Yusufi on Sunday said that the escape of Abdulsalam Jaber, the former information minister in the Salvation Government, to Saudi Arabia revealed his betrayal of the homeland.
“Abdul Salam Jaber has never been in ranks of anti-aggression forces, and he was armed with a culture of banditry and corruption,” al-Yusufi said a press conference held in Sanaa. ”
Al-Yusufi added that Japer’s escape “is part of the victory of the anti-aggression forces, as he (Jaber) moved to his real place in the aggression countries.”
He denied Jabir’s allegation that the power centers in Sanaa are wrestling among themselves.
He stressed the importance of submitting an integrated report on the crimes and violations committed by Jaber during his tenure in the ministry to try him on charges of corruption and treason.
For his part, Tawfiq al-Himyari, adviser to the Information Ministry, said that Jaber was “a secret agent of the aggression countries and he was withdrawn after the end of his mission.”
Al-Himyari noted that Jaber’s mission was to disrupt the media work and to waste efforts of the official media institutions.
