Planning Minister stresses importance of evaluating food security in Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 5 (YPA) – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Abdulaziz al-Komaim, on Monday stressed the importance of monitoring and evaluating the food security and nutrition in Yemen.

During a workshop held at the Planning Ministry in Sanaa to review interactive tools in “Map Yemen” system for food security, al-Komaim confirmed that achieving of the food security in Yemen is a priority.

He noted to the emergency challenges facing Yemen in this regard due to the repercussions of the exceptional situation imposed by the Saudi-led coalition, which exacerbate the food problem in the country.
