3 militiamen of UAE occupation wounded in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 4 (YPA) – At least three militiamen loyal to the UAE occupation forces were injured on Sunday during clashes erupted between them and gunmen in Abyan province, southern Yemen, local officials told Yemen Press Agency.

The armed clashes took place after elements of the so-called “Southern Transitional Council” backed by the UAE in Ludar city of Abyan interfered to stop a fight between gunmen in the city, the officials said.

Over the past months, the UAE-backed militias in Ludar city have launched operations against al-Qaeda members, arresting some wanted individuals, according to media reports funded by the UAE occupation.
