Health minister meets UNICEF regional director

SANAA, Nov. 4 (YPA) – Health Minister Taha Al-Mutawakil met on Sunday in Hodeidah province with Khairat Kabalari, UNICEF regional director for the Middle East and North Africa.

At the meeting, al-Mutawakel touched on the importance of developing emergency treatments to save the health situation in Yemen, particularly under the military escalation by the Saudi-led coalition against civilians.

The officials discussed the mutual occupation between the ministry and the organization in the health sector.

The meeting dealt with aspects regarding provision of medical and therapeutic supplies to fight cholera epidemic to save patients.
