FM appreciates position of British FM

SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – Foreign Minister, Hisham Sharaf, on Friday expressed the appreciation of the Government of National Salvation for the position of Parliament member in the United Kingdom and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the shadow government, Emile Thornberry.

In a letter to Emile, Sharaf stressed the appreciation of the Yemeni government and the people of Yemen for their strong stance, which defends human rights and stresses on the importance of respecting international humanitarian law and the human right to live in dignity and condemning the violations of the coalition in Yemen, which created the worst humanitarian disaster in the world and targeted the infrastructure and services and civilians especially women, children and the elderly.

In his letter, Sharaf renewed the invitation to the head of the British Labor Party to send a delegation from the party to visit Yemen.

Sharaf called on the British MP to visit the capital Sana’a to see the reality of the tragedy and disaster created by the coalition and to ensure the seriousness of the political leadership to move towards peace and a sustainable political solution.
