Amran Governor, OCHA official briefed on damage in Amran Cement Factory
AMRAN, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Governor of Amran, Faisal Ja’man and Director of OCHA Office in Yemen on Monday were briefed on the damage and difficulties in Amran factory because of the Saudi-led coalition targeting and the economic blockade.
Ja’aman pointed to the role of the United Nations in partially restarting the factory, adding that the difficulties facing the factory due to the high operating cost and the suspension of most production lines, which requires concerted efforts to operate the factory at full capacity.
For his part, the director of OCHA Office expressed his happiness to restart the Amran cement factory after the great damage suffered, indicating that he will discuss with the relevant authorities aspects of coordination to provide more assistance to the factory, which contributes to improve the increase in production and the conditions of workers.
