FM meets ICRC official

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Tuesday with deputy head of delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Sanaa.

At the meeting, the minister discussed the latest developments of the humanitarian situation and disastrous consequences caused by the Saudi-led coalition’s siege on Yemen for fourth straight year.

The officials discussed bilateral relations and the fields of the joint cooperation between Yemen and the ICRC.

Sharaf stressed on the necessity to redouble efforts of the humanitarian organizations to  alleviate from the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially after the devaluation the local currency because of the economic war imposed by the coalition.

The minister renewed the National Salvation Government’s readiness to provide all the necessary facilities to works and activities of the organizations operating  into Yemen.
