Yemeni parliament discusses Arab Convention on Inmates Transfer

SANAA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament discussed on Monday the Arab Convention on the Transfer of Inmates of Punitive and Correctional Institutions.

In its session, the parliament reviewed the report of the joint parliamentary committee, which is composed of Ministries of Justice, Awqaf, Defense and Interior, on the codification of Islamic law provisions on the convention.

The Convention aims to strengthen Arab cooperation in the field of criminal justice based on the principles of respect for national sovereignty, national jurisdiction and non-interference in the internal affairs of each country.
