HR Department of Ansar Allah Political Bureau condemns coalition’s crime in Yemen’s Hodeidah
SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The Human Rights and Legal Department of Ansar Allah Political Bureau condemned on Saturday the heinous crime committed by US-backed Saudi-led coalition airstrikes which targeted displaced persons who were on two buses in Jabal Ras district of Hodeidah province, which killed and wounded dozens, including children and women.
The Department said in a statement received that this heinous crime was not the first and will not be the last, pointing out that the warplanes has preceded targeting civilians and displaced people on the main roads several times.
The statement added that the death toll in this crime was doubled by continued heavy flight which preventing the paramedics to get to the place of crime as well as the coalition cut off the main roads to Hodeidah in Kilo-16 and forced civilians to forcibly evict distant roads.
The statement pointed out that the crimes of coalition and its continued to impose siege on Yemen are a flagrant violation of all international conventions and laws that prohibit the targeting of civilians, the siege and starvation of the Yemeni people.
The statement condemned the continued international silence on these crimes, calling on the international community and the UN Security Council to work for stopping the aggression and the formation of an independent and impartial international commission of inquiry to investigate all crimes in Yemen.
