Yemeni army repels coalition-backed militants’ infiltration in western coast

HODEIDAH, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Friday foiled a large scale attack of the coalition-backed militants in the western coast of Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Several militants, including leaders, were killed and injured during their attempt to advance towards southern and western parts of Durihami, the official said.

The official indicated that the infiltration operation coincided with an intensive flying of the coalition warplanes and spy aircraft over the sky of the district.

The attack lasted for six hours but without making any progress on the ground, the official added.
