Tropical storm moving towards Yemeni, Omani territorial waters

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 9 (YPA) – The early warning room in Hadramout province on Tuesday said that the tropical status in the Arabian Sea has evolved into a deep tropical depression with a speed of 30 knots.

The room expected the deep tropical depression to turn into a tropical storm and move north-west of the Arabian Sea to come near the east of the Gulf of Aden, Yemeni territorial waters and the region between Dhofar of Oman and eastern Yemen between mid and end of this week.

It stated that the center of the tropical status is about 1000 km away from Socotra Island and that the nearest clouds mass is 410 km away.

According to specialists in climate, it appears that the storm is heading towards the eastern and southern coasts of Yemen to reach Aden and Bab al-Mandab after the decline of its intensity in the middle of next week.
