Solutions for challenges facing Thawra hospital in Hodeida discussed in meeting

HODEIDA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – A meeting headed by Hodeida’s Acting Governor Mohammad Kuhaim held on Tuesday in the headquarter of the Authority of Thawra Hospital in Hodeida to discuss the difficulties, which obstacle workflow in the hospital and necessary solution.

During the meeting the acting governor praised the medical services provided to the citizens by the hospital.

He added that the hospital provides its services to the citizens in all the Yemeni provinces’ cin itizens, as well as it receives wounded fighters who are battling to defend the country.

President of the authority Khaled Suhail said that the mostly important challenge facing the work of the authority is the needs to providing more medicament to the chronic cases as cancer and needed medical solutions for the laboratories, the electricity shortage, and spare part for the medical apparatus, adding that situation was caused by the all-out blockade imposed by the US-backed Saudi-led coalition on the Yemeni People.

Meanwhile, Kuhaim inspected workflow in the enlarging of the center of the obstetric emergencies’ department in the hospital, financed by the U.N. Population Fund (Population Fund).

The project executed by the Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA) is established on superficial estimated to 300 square meters and consists of eight rooms with its annexed medical suites.

The project is composed of referral clinics, outpatient clinics for women and obstetrics, the laboratory section, the radio-graphic diagnostics department, a waiting room for women, an emergency room, a one-day operating room and a vaccine room.
