UAE occupation to disarm Shabwa tribes

SHABWA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – The UAE-backed militias seized the heavy weapons belonging to Al-khaf tribes and a number of other tribes in Belhaf district in Yemen’s Shabwa province of, in the pretext that it poses a danger to the oil wells in the Province.

A number of Shabwa elders on Monday denounced such measures, describing them as shameful for being disarmed.

They considered this as a humiliation and control of the fate of all sons of shabwa, and forcing them to depend on the UAE after those tribes were a strong protection of oil wealth and secure its regions.

They stressed that the disarming the tribes of their heavy weapons is a “shame” will be written in the forehead of their sons and that these measures are translated the upcoming occupation’s dictations to the people of the region unconditionally.

This action came in order to avoid a popular uprising in shabwa, similar to one took place in Mahrah province, which rejects the Saudi scheme.
