Yemen welcomes EP’s call to stop Saudi-led aggression on Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 8 (YPA) – An official source in the Foreign Ministry on Sunday welcomed the stance of the European Parliament and his condemnation for the attacks against civilians and infrastructure, according to a recent resolution adopted by Parliament on the situation in Yemen.

The official also welcomed the call by the European Parliament for a cessation of hostilities in Yemen, warning of the consequences of renewed military attack on Hodeidah province.

The EU also renewed its call for the reopening of airports and ports to facilitate a safe and rapid access to humanitarian assistance, food and commercial Supplies, and Medical.

The official appreciated the European Parliament’s assertion that the only solution in Yemen is a political solution, urging the coalition to stop its recent escalation in order to resume peace talks under the auspices of the UN Secretary-general’s special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths.

The European Parliament has condemned the continuation of the war on Yemen and violations against civilians, calling on Saudi Arabia to immediately stop fighting and lifting the embargo and to ban the sale of weapons and Internet monitoring technology to the UAE.
