Planning Minister discusses cooperation in child care field

SANAA, Oct. 3 (YPA) – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Abdulaziz al-Kumaim on Wednesday discussed with Director of the International Child Welfare Organization in Yemen, Tamer Carlos, enhancing cooperation in the child care field .

In the meeting, Dr. al-Kumaim emphasized the need to strengthen the government efforts aimed at developing channels of humanitarian care for children.

The minister stressed the importance of uniting efforts to mitigate the catastrophic consequences caused by the war of Saudi-led coalition on the reality of childhood in Yemen.

For his part, the organization’s representative pointed to the importance of strengthening the cooperation frameworks between Yemen and the organization, especially in relation to protecting children from emergency risks.

He added that the organization is active in a number of Yemeni cities and is working to expand its services to support the government’s efforts to promote safe childhood.
