PM, YPC discuss oil derivatives supply status
SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, on Sunday discussed with Executive Director of Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC), Yasser al-Wahdi, the status of oil derivatives supply and the company’s efforts to overcome the current difficulties.
In the meeting, al-Wahdi briefed bin Habtoor on measures taken by the company to face the fuel shortages in the local market due to the military escalation of the Saudi-led coalition in the western coast and the random targeting to the Port of Hodeidah.
Al-Wahdi said in this regard that “the oil tankers began today entering the port and unloading their cargo in preparation for supplying the market with oil derivatives as of tomorrow in large quantities.”
The prime minister praised efforts of the Oil Ministry and the YPC to overcome the current difficulties, stressing the importance of finding alternatives to ensure the stability of oil derivatives supply in the market.
