Prominent leader survives assassination attempt in Dhalea

DHALEA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – A prominent leader loyal to Bin Dagher’s authority in Yemen’s Aden survived an assassination attempt as blast targeted his car in the Yemeni southern province of Dhalea, Yemen Press Agency reporter said on Sunday.

Abdul Aziz Ghaleb Saeed, the leader of the so-called “the popular resistance” was subjected to an assassination attempt when an improvised explosive device went off in his car in the market of Maries district.

The explosion left number of citizens injured and damages to the car, the reporter said.

 “Ghaleb” was subjected to a similar an assassination attempt in 2016, in which four soldiers were killed and an office injured.

Dhalea and other southern provinces, under the control of the UAE occupation forces, have been witnessing a case of chaos insecurity amid the spread of armed groups of al-Qaeda and Daesh and increasing violations against civil and military figures.
