Public Funds Prosecution stops officials, block their accounts in all banks

ADEN, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Public Funds Prosecution stopped the executive director of the oil company and the general manager of Aden refineries from working and blocking their financial assets in all Yemeni and international banks, a familiar source with the issue said on Saturday.

According to media sources, the public fund’s department in Aden summoned the directors of refineries, oil and electricity companies in Aden to appear before the prosecution on Sunday.

The source said that many charges were directed against the directors of governmental companies in Aden, including the seizure of public funds and the trade in oil derivatives.

He noted that their summons came on the background of corruption reports from the branch of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA) in Aden.

Politicians and officials in Aden refineries and the oil company were accused of fabricating crises and the lack of oil derivatives and selling them in the black market for a powerful and corrupt administration in the exiled Hadi’s government.
