SHABWA, Sept. 27 (YPA) – The so-called southern resistance, funded by the UAE, in the province of Shabwa threatened on Thursday to stop the export of oil from the fields of Aqla and Ayah leading to tanks of Alnchima.
In a statement issued by a meeting held in the city of Hibban, the southern resistance confirmed stopping the export of oil, if the demands of Shabwa residents were ignored.
The statement demanded the disclosure of what is produced from the province’s oil in exact figures, the supply of the province’s share to the central bank in Shabwa, and the use of the province’s share of oil for basic services in the field of health and education.
The statement stressed on the granting of Shabwa’s priority to employment in oil companies and the suspension of jobs for those coming from outside the province.
The southern resistance called for the suspension of the work of Al-Hathaily from the transfer of oil and open the way for the people of Shabwa, accusing Al-Hathaily of corruption.
