GPC launches scathing attack on Hadi’s government

SANAA, Sept. 25 (YPA) – President of the General People’s Congress (GPC) party, Sheikh Sadiq Amin Abu Ras, on Tuesday attacked the exiled president Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi’s government, holding it fully responsible for what the Yemeni people suffer from the war and siege.

“The war waged by the Saudi-led coalition against Yemen was not aiming at restoring the legitimacy of Hadi, as the aggressors claim, but the goal is much greater,” said Abu Ras in a speech at the party’s celebration marking anniversary of the Yemeni revolutions (September 26, October 14 and November 30).

He wondered: “What legitimacy is this, which closes the airports to patients and imposes all-out siege on the Yemeni people and targets its infrastructure and economic capabilities?”

Abu Ras headed the GPC party after the events of December 2 last year, following the killing of the former president of the party, Ali Abdullah Saleh, and the failure of his coup against Ansaruallah.
