Standardization authority rejects entry over 170000 flour bags

SANAA, Sep. 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control rejected the entry of a shipment of flour in violation of the specifications, which amounted to 170304 bags.

In a statement, the authority was refused entry of the flour shipment from the port of Hodeidah after conducting tests, which showed that they are contrary to the standard specifications and contain insects and larvae.

The statement pointed out that this shipment is the second shipment rejected within two months through the port of Hodeidah where a previous shipment was rejected with the amount of 670850 bags.
