PM meets new head of ICRC delegation to Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – Prime minister Abdul Aziz Saleh bin Habtour met on Monday with the new head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to Yemen.

In the meeting, the officials discussed the cooperation relations between Yemen and the ICRC in humanitarian and health sides.

The meeting discussed also means to expand the ICRC’s services in the emergency medical centers, especially in Hodeidah province, which is facing the humanitarian suffering and military escalation caused by the Saudi-led coalition and air, sea and land siege.

The ICRC official stressed on the importance of work to activate and expand its humanitarian activities, which was stopped following the assassination of ICRC’s staff member in Taiz province.
