ADNE, Sept. 22 (YPA) – The southern port city of Aden on Saturday witnessed a popular demonstration demanding that the Saudi-led coalition forces leave all the southern provinces.
Demonstrators loyal to head of the so-called Revolutionary Movement Council, Hassan Baum, roamed the city streets, protesting at the poor economic conditions and the low value of local currency against foreign currencies, according to local officials.
The demonstrators raised banners rejecting the existence of the UAE occupation forces, denouncing the arrests campaign carried out by the UAE militia against leading figures and activists of the southern movement.
They called for the release of the leading member in the movement, Nasser Ba-Mithqal, who was arrested last weekend in Hadramout province.
Earlier in this month, UAE-backed militia burned Baum’s photos in Sayoun city of Hadramout against the backdrop of tearing photos of the UAE rulers in Mukalla city.
