Yemeni army shells Saudi-backed militants in Jizan

JIZAN, Sept. 21 (YPA) – The artillery forces of the Yemeni army and popular committees on Friday shelled gatherings of Saudi-backed militants in the Saudi the Saudi southern border province of Jizan, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The artillery shells hit militants’ gatherings at the center of Mahwalah, killing and injuring dozens of them, the official said.

The official confirmed that several Saudi soldiers were killed and injured in Jabal Qieyadah when their military vehicle went off due to an improvised explosive device planted by the army’s engineering unit.
