Yemeni army foils infiltration attempts of Saudi-backed militants in Asir

ASIR, Sept. 21 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Friday foiled infiltration attempts of Saudi-backed militants off Mandabah area in the Saudi southern border province of Asir, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Dozens of militants were killed and injured during their attempt to make progress towards Mandabah, the official confirmed.

Meanwhile, the artillery forces shelled gatherings of the militants in the same district, leaving huge casualties in the lives and equipment.
