UN envoy arrives in Sanaa after Geneva consultations fail

SANAA, Sept.16 (YPA) – The UN Secretary-General’s special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, arrived Sunday in the capital Sanaa.

According to official sources in Sanaa, Griffiths will meet during his visit, which will last for several days, with Leader of Ansaruallah Movement, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and leaders in both of the Supreme Political Council and the General People’s Congress Party.

Griffith’s visit comes after the failure of the Geneva consultations because the Saudi-led coalition prevented a UN flight from leaving Sanaa.
