30 Chinese military aircraft take part in “Vostok-2018” military maneuver in eastern Russia

SANAA, Sept.11 (YPA) – Chinese Air Force will send six warplanes and 24 helicopters for the “Vostok-2018″ military maneuver in eastern Russia, the Department of Public Information and mass communication of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.

“The Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLA) participates in the Vostok-2018 ″ military drills with 30 planes [24 helicopters and six planes],” the statement read.

The aircraft and helicopters are ready to participate in the Vostok 2018 military maneuvers which will start from September 11-17. The military training operation is set to eclipse the Soviet Union’s largest-ever exercise held in 1981.

Hundreds of thousands of troops are expected to participate in Russia’s biggest military maneuver since the Cold War. Also taking part in eastern Russia at its “Vostok-2018” drill will be Chinese and Mongolian forces.
