Capital mayor inspects workflow of rehabilitation, restoration of Al-Majd school in Safia district
SANAA, Sept 4 (YPA) – Capital mayor Hamoud Obad on Tuesday, inspected the workflow of rehabilitation and restoration of Al-Majd school in Safia district among the cash-for-work projects funded by the Social Fund for Development.
Mayor of the capital, together with the Deputy secretariat of the capital Assistant for the project sector, Eng. Abdulkreem al-Houthi were provided with detailed explanation on the number of beneficiaries of the cash-for-work program reach to 100 workers.
General Director of Safiah district Naji Al-Shaman asserted that the project’s completion rate was about 6percentnt and included the work of concrete cement for the school yard with the tiles, as well as the refurbishment of paint for the school corridors with the renovation of some of its facilities and attachments
The capital mayor confirmed the keenness of the Secretariat to follow up the rehabilitation and renovation of a number of schools in the capital Sanaa as part of preparations to receive the new academic year 2018 – 2019.
He indicated that the local authority is paying a great attention to the education sector in order to continue the educational process, especially under the circumstances of continued aggression and blockade on Yemen.
For his part, Eng. Abdul Karim al-Houthi praised the contributions and work of the Fund in the education sector and various fields in all districts.
