UN confines Geneva talks between Supreme Political Council, Hadi’s govt

SANAA, Aug. 18 (YPA) – The Office of the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, on Friday invited the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa and Hadi’s government backed by Saudi-led coalition to participate in Geneva talks scheduled for September 6.

During a press conference held at the UN Headquarters in Geneva, U.N. spokeswoman, Alessandra Vellucci, confirmed that the invitations had been sent to both parties.

Vellucci did not mention any other parties who had hoped to be represented in the upcoming Geneva negotiations.
