ADEN, Aug. 18 (YPA) – At least 3 recruits were killed and 13 others injured on Saturday in an armed attack targeted the Military College of forces loyal to the exiled Hadi in the southern port city of Aden, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.
A group of gunmen stationed at the top of the mountain overlooking that the college in Salahudin neighborhood and opened fire at the elements who were participating in a military graduation ceremony, according to the official.
The gunmen belong to the so-called “southern resistance”, and they attacked the military parade because of raising the Yemeni unity flag, which caused clashes that resulted in a number of dead and wounded, he explained.
The final toll of the dead and wounded as a result of the attack has not known yet.
Aden has been witnessing killings and assassinations constantly due to the state of security chaos, after the city was taken over by the UAE occupation forces in 2015.
