Report: Yemen army carries out offensives against Saudi troops over 24 hours

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Yemen army carried out offensives against Saudi soldiers and their militiamen, inflicting them heavy losses in lives and equipment over the past 24 hours, a according to military reports combined by Yemen Press Agency on Friday.

• In Yemen’s western coast:
Rocketry force of the army fired a short-range ballistic missile toward gatherings of Saudi-backed militiamen.
Four military vehicles were destroyed and 20 of militiamen were killed by explosive devices in the north of Duraihimi district.
A militiaman was shot dead and two military vehicles were destroyed in Hais district.
A military vehicle was burned by artillery shelling in east of Duraihimi.
Several areas of Jabalia in Tuhaita were cleared by an offensive on militiamen’s sites, killing and wounding dozens.
• In border province of Asir:
The army foiled two infiltration, backed with air cover, in front of Alb border crossing, killing and injuring dozens of militiamen and destroying a military vehicle.
• In Jizan border province:
Artillery force of the army shelled gatherings of Saudi soldiers and their militiamen in Dood mount, Masha’l, Malh’a , Jahfan sites.
Missile and artillery shells were fired toward gatherings of Saudi soldiers and their military vehicles in Aqapa mounts camp and Sawda site.

• In Saudi border province of Najran:
The army took control of a militiamen’s site in the west of Sudais site, killing and wounding dozens.

• In Yemen’s Jawf province:
Engineering unit of the army destroyed a military vehicle, loaded with militiamen, in Jara’wb area of Ham front in Motun district, killing all its crew.
