UNICEF to launch vaccination campaign in Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) intends to launch a vaccination campaign against polio and measles diseases and severe malnutrition in Yemen, according to UNICEF’s plan for 2018.

The campaign aims to vaccinate 3.5 million children against polio and 884,000 others against measles and to treat 323,000 children under five years of severe malnutrition.

The UNICEF’s plan for 2018 in Yemen includes the implementation of various programs in the areas of health, education, water, environmental sanitation and child protection.
