Health Minister meets IMC officials

SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Minister of Public Health and Population, Taha Al-Mutawakel, on Sunday met with, Country Director of the International Medical Corps, Waseem Bahgat, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

In the meeting, the officials discussed the mechanism of enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and the Crops, especially regarding the development of emergency services in hospitals and combating epidemics.

Al-Mutawakel stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the ministry and the international crops to contribute the advancement of the health sector in Yemen, pointing out that the facilities will be provided the Crops to carry out its humanitarian and health role.

For his part, Bahgat condemned the heinous crime committed against students in Dahyan district in Saada province.

Bahgat reviewed the activities and programs of the Crops and the areas it supports, particularly in Sana’a province.
