HADRAMOUT, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen targeted a security official in Hadramout governorate, eastern Yemen, on Monday evening, marking a new incident pointing to escalating security chaos in the governorate.
A well-informed local source reported that the convoy of the Director of Security for Hadramout valley, Abdullah Al-Sayari, was hit by an explosive device while traveling along the Al-Abr road, which is controlled by the Saudi-backed “emergency forces” and “Dera Al-Watan” factions.
The source added that no further details regarding material damage or casualties resulting from the attack on Al-Sayari were immediately available.
This development follows the assassination of Judge Mubarak bin Sumaida’a, a member of the Sayoun Court of Appeal Prosecution, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Monday evening while inside his vehicle in the center of the Sayoun city.
