Six Palestinians, including child and police officer, killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza

GAZA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Six Palestinians, including a child and a police officer, were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, as Zionist forces continued to demolish homes and target tents sheltering displaced people, in further violations of the ceasefire.

Palestinian sources said the casualties were reported in northern Gaza, Rafah, southern Deir al-Balah and Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood. Five people were also injured in an Israeli strike on a police post in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah.

Several people were injured in a drone strike near the Jordanian Hospital in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighborhood. An elderly man, a girl and others were also wounded by Israeli fire in different parts of the Strip. One girl was critically injured.

Meanwhile, widespread military activity, including shooting incidents, artillery shelling, drone overflights, and demolitions, was reported in other areas of Gaza today.
