DHAMAR, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Dhamar-based Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center reported on Monday that its stations recorded two light earthquakes northwest of Dhamar city, measuring 2.3 and 2.2 on the Richter scale at 4:02 and 4:03 a.m., respectively, at a depth of 10 meters.
In a statement, the center added that such tremors are routine low-level seismic activity that releases seismic energy and may help reduce its accumulation, potentially limiting the risk of larger earthquakes.
