100 international organizations: Gaza ceasefire is “just ink on paper”

GAZA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – More than 100 international humanitarian and human rights organizations have described the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as “just ink on paper,” amid Israel’s continued killing of Palestinians and restrictions on aid and reconstruction supplies, despite a year having passed since the agreement took effect.

In a joint statement issued on Friday, Spanish organization Oxfam Intermón said Israel had killed more than 1,400 Palestinians in Gaza during the 365 days since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025.

The statement added that Israeli forces continue to kill and injure Palestinians on a daily basis, while restrictions on aid, equipment, and reconstruction materials are preventing families from recovering.

It noted that more than two million people need shelter, while 1.4 million face critical levels of hunger. No hospital in the Gaza Strip is operating at full capacity.

The signatory organizations stressed that death and deprivation in Gaza must not be normalized under the cover of a ceasefire agreement.

Citing the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the statement also noted that approximately 10,000 people remain buried under the rubble.

The organizations that signed the joint statement include Amnesty International, Oxfam, Islamic Relief, the Norwegian Refugee Council, the Danish Refugee Council, Caritas Internationalis, Greenpeace International, and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
