Series of Saudi airstrikes targeting various areas in Sanaa

SANAA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – Saudi warplanes launched on Friday a series of airstrikes targeting various areas in the capital, Sanaa, and its outskirts, as participants were leaving a large mass rally at Al-Sabeen Square marking the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. Warplanes continued to fly over the capital.

Initial reports indicated that the strikes targeted Sanaa International Airport, Mount Attan south of the capital, and the Fundhukh area in Bani Hashish district of Sanaa province.

According to the same reports, more than 10 airstrikes hit Mount Attan and the Fundhukh area, in an escalation that targeted several sites in and around the capital.

The strikes also targeted telecommunications facilities and networks in the districts of Bilad Al-Rus and Arhab, south and north of Sanaa province, raising concerns about the potential impact on communications services in the affected areas.

The airstrikes coincided with the conclusion of the mass rally at Al-Sabeen Square, held under the slogan “Steadfastness with Palestine and Mobilization in Confronting Aggression and Blockade.” Information on the extent of damage and casualties remained incomplete.

As of the latest reports, no confirmed information was available on casualties or the extent of damage to the targeted sites.
