Sanaa forces declare decision to ease restrictions on flights to Riyadh airport

SANAA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces declared on Friday that humanitarian flights would be permitted to land at King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, subject to the permit requirements issued by the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center in Sanaa.

In a statement, military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie said the permission covers humanitarian flights to and from Riyadh Airport, provided they obtain clearance from the center in Sanaa.

The spokesman renewed his warning to airlines, travelers, airport personnel and aviation-sector workers concerning locations and airspace previously identified in earlier warnings, urging them to take those warnings into account.
