ICRC receives four Lebanese captives released by Israeli occupation

BEIRUT, Sept. 04 (YPA) – The Lebanese army on Friday received four Lebanese detainees from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which had earlier taken custody of them from Israeli occupation forces.

The National News Agency said that the occupation forces released the four Lebanese detainees at the Ras Al-Naqoura crossing. The ICRC received them and transported them to the Benoua Barakat Barracks in Tyre, where they were handed over to Lebanese Army Intelligence.

The four were transported from Ras Al-Naqoura to the barracks in three ICRC vehicles after crossing an army checkpoint in the Al-Amriya area, north of Al-Mansouri.

Following his release, freed detainee Hussein Abdullah Ayash called his brother Mahmoud. Ayash, from the town of Harouf, had been captured more than two months ago in Kfar Tibnit in Nabatieh District.

The latest releases bring to five the number of Lebanese detainees released by the occupation forces since Thursday, after they were detained in southern Lebanon on different dates.
