Lebanon’s Loyalty to Resistance Bloc: Framework agreement failed to protect Lebanon

BEIRUT, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc said on Thursday the framework agreement had failed to protect Lebanon and was now being used by the Israeli occupation as cover to continue its aggression and attacks.

In a statement following its regular meeting, the Bloc held the Lebanese authorities responsible for deepening the national crisis and shirking their responsibilities toward the Lebanese people and displaced persons.

The statement said hostility toward the Israeli entity is a constitutional and legal principle enshrined in the Taif Agreement and cannot be revoked by any party, warning against attempts to relinquish or undermine national constants.

At the regional level, the Bloc condemned the U.S. aggression and blockade against Iran, affirming Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense. It also denounced the continued Israeli escalation in Gaza, the West Bank and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Bloc’s statement renewed its commitment to the path of resistance and to continuing sacrifices to protect Lebanon and liberate its territory.
