Armed attack targets home of local official in Shabwa

SHABWA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen launched an armed attack Wednesday evening targeting the residence of Ali Nasser Al-Dheeb, Director of the Health Office in Shabwa Governorate, which is under the Saudi control.

According to local sources, the attackers opened fire using various types of weapons on the house located in Ataq city, the provincial capital. The incident resulted in material damage to the residence, with no casualties reported, though it caused panic among residents in the neighborhood.

This comes amid a systematic security failure in the oil-rich Shabwa province, which is no different from what Aden and the rest of the provinces under the control of extremist Saudi factions are suffering from since the beginning of 2016.
