Israeli occupation carries out explosions, destroys homes in Lebanon south

BEIRUT, Aug. 25 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday carried out explosions, demolished residential homes, dropped bombs and set fire to areas in several towns and villages in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, in continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanese media reported that the occupation forces detonated an explosive in the town of Markaba after an Israeli helicopter conducted machine-gun fire toward the outskirts of Al-Taybeh.

They also reported explosions in villages in the Bint Jbeil district and near Majdal Zoun, while Israeli forces set fire to fields between Haris and Hadatha.

The occupation’s warplanes carried out an airstrike on Al-Mansouri after an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb over Yater. Further explosions were reported in Mays al-Jabal, Ainata and Zawtar al-Sharqiya, following the demolition of a house near Haris.

The occupation continues to carry out attacks across southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire, including artillery shelling, airstrikes and drone attacks, as well as burning fields and demolishing homes and infrastructure.
